Website Maintenance
Your site should change regularly. Content should be kept up to date, and pages, images, and links will need to be updated. We provide site maintenance for sites that we have created as well as sites that have been created by other companies. All crimsonkite.com websites come with a free month of basic maintenance. See your contract for details.
Please note: All requests for updates and changes must be submitted in writing by e-mail or attachment to e-mail (.doc, .pdf, .txt, .rtf). Urgent requests may be phoned in, but must be followed up with written requests.
Web maintenance standard rate
Our standard rate is for ad-hoc work. If you anticipate regular updates, you
may wish to join our maintenance plan.
Standard rate for maintenance, minimum 15 minutes: $25/hour
This rate is for:
> Minor updates*
> Troubleshooting support
> E-mail management/setup
Non-contract maintenance requests will be completed within 1 week. Requests for changes and updates not under contract will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. An invoice for maintenance work will be e-mailed upon completion.
Regular Maintenance Package
If you anticipate having more regular updates, we recommend that you join
our maintenance plan. The initial contract runs for 6 months, with additional
contracts negotiated at a 3-month minimum. Payment is due at the beginning
of the contract. (Complex websites may require a higher maintenance fee. Please
contact us if you are unsure whether your site falls in this category.)
BASIC Maintenance Plan includes:
> For small/medium static sites
> 1 hour of minor updates* per month
> Free troubleshooting support
> 2 extra pages OR 2 pages redesigned during a 6-month period
> Unlimited e-mail management/setup
> Extra hours billed at a discounted rate of $20/hour (An invoice for extra
maintenance work will be e-mailed upon completion.)
Contracted maintenance will be completed within 3 business days of initial request. Exempt from this are changes or updates that require more than 2 hours to complete or where further consultations with the customer are required. Contract maintenance work will have priority over non-contracted work.
Cost for a 6-month contract: $150
*Minor updates include modifications and updates to existing pages (not to exceed 40% of total page content) and technical changes in site setup. Minor updates do not include addition of new pages or modifications exceeding 40% of page content, which will be billed as at the new page creation rate of $40 per page (for pages with no special programming. New pages that require programming will be billed at the normal site design rate.)
